I had so much fun today. *G* Met up with leelee_cakes  and her mom had issues finding the highway again. So we had a mini-adventure through West Vancouver. :p We made it though and once we dropped Leelee's mom off we didn't have anymore trouble. :p Except for that chick who tried to change lanes into us on the bridge. Psycho.

Anyway, we made it to the studio and we parked in Martin Wood's parking spot. I was being all geeky and going "Martin Wood! *squee*" and Leelee was very confused. I'm such a geek I took a picture of it. lol! Then a guy gave us a ride in a little golf cart thingy except we only went like a couple hundred feet. lol! I don't really know what the point was. They had cop cars set up and a San Francisco trolley from the show Killer Instinct which is also being filmed at Bridge Studios. When we got to the building we met up with tallisen , her friend, Dan and her dad and chatted with them a bit. Haven't seen Tallie since May so it was great to see her again! Hopefully I'll see her next March as well. *nudge nudge, wink wink* ;) *G*

Inside they had a silent auction going and also a place where you could get your picture taken with various ghoulies. They also had an X-302 set up so I got a picture of it. *G*

At 4 we started our tour and first they took us through one of the make up trailers. It was completely empty though. I guess they just wanted to show us what they look like. Then we went into a morgue set which is used for Killer Instinct. They had a body under a sheet and Leelee suggested we go to the other side of the room because we just knew he was going to jump out at us. Sure enough, he did which caused the little girls in front of us to scream. They warned every single person they could find that they "were gonna scream really loud" and "maybe you don't want to stand behind us." They were cute. lol.

Then they took us around the back of the village set and there was a stairway with some strange guy at the top (he was kinda Igor-ish) and he kept yelling for us not to go in, etc etc and then shot fire out at you. That was the only time I shrieked. *G* We went down a hall and they had smoke machines going so it was kind of hard to see (also, I had to turn off the flash on my camera because I was getting glare from the smoke. I didn't notice for a while because I was too busy paying attention to what was going on so that's why a few of the pics are weird). There were various zombies, etc milling about and lurking in the shadows but no one really jumped out to scare us. They would just kind of follow you. This is when we went into the tavern, I think. They had some aliens in there playing out a scene and then when they noticed us, they started coming after the little kids so they could eat their fingers and toes. It was kinda funny. The make up was really well done though. I should also say that all the props and everything were really well done. They had skeletons in chains and decomposing corpses and lot of yucky stuff. Very detailed and everyone involved obviously went through a lot of work.

After the tavern it was back down another hall and into a little cemetary. Cue more zombies and some guy in a half-opened coffin. He was saying something but I don't remember exactly what. Then we moved into the piece that was used as Salis and Harrid's house in Avalon Part 2 and Origin. They had some witches in there doing the "Double double, toil and trouble" bit and they too starting coming after the kids. We moved out into the courtyard and they did a big scene with some stunt people. I missed the very beginning because I was taking pictures but these guys were trying to kidnap a kid and he was fighting them off. They did a bunch of choreographed fighting and the stunt guys leaped/were thrown off of balconies, roofs...anything that had some height to it. The kid won in the end of course ;). He's part of StuntCanada and had some pretty good moves. I was very impressed. *G* That was pretty much it. We went to leave and some gargoyle-like thing jumped out at us and then it was over! My piccies aren't the best, I have a pretty crappy camera but you at least get the idea.

Leelee and I went down and checked out a line of trailers that was alongside the building. We met up with Tallie and Dan here too. CJ and MS's trailers were there. I took a pic of MS' door and CJ's was actually open so you could stick your head in. All his stuff is cleared out of course but it was still fun to look inside. I took a picture of his couch. :p We walked along past the trailers and there were some windows so we decided to peak in. There was a hallway with lots of pictures on the wall. There were various newspapers clippings about the show/actors, etc and official cast and crew group photos for various years. There were also really random things like pictures of someone's cat, a baby picture, someone's class picture from years ago...lots of stuff. There was also a poll. I think it's from Gateworld...'What do you think of Ben Browder as Cameron Mitchell?' Someone had printed out the results and highlighted the one with the most votes (I like him but haven't seen him enough). Then we moved on to the next window and it was an office that had some call/prop sheets and some binders that were labelled 'Atlantis scripts'. So we ogled that office for a while and then thought we'd probably left enough finger and face prints on the window and decided to leave. :p This was when I took the picture of the parking spot. I also took a picture of Peter DeLuise's spot because it was right across from us. *geek*

I had a really good time. It was well-organized, the money goes to a great cause (BC Children's Hospital) and all the volunteers were really friendly. I hope they do it again next year.
